Introduction

Hi this P7B from Sciennes Primary in Edinburgh (Scotland),

Over the past month we have been doing a mini survey on insulation. Insulation is when we try to trap heat or cold in something. Our school has huge heating bills so we are interested in trapping heat in. The school has had a professional energy survey carried out and has already had draught proofing put on our windows and a new heating system installed in our huts. We are also waiting for our attic to be insulated.

The most recent thing we have been working on is creating innovations for insulation. People in our class have come up with a range of ideas for improving insulation from display mats which insulate walls to insulated cat flaps for your home.
